Headache StoriesJESSICA said: I just had a baby in July and I had a spinal block instead of an epidural in which they punctured my spine after sticking me numerous times. I then experienced a spinal headache 2 days later. A spinal headache is unlike any headache you will ever have. I also received a spinal patch where they took blood out of my arm to patch up the hole in my spine. IT DID NOT WORK!!!! I still have headaches daily. My wonderful OB/GYN has tried me on several medications, but the only thing that works for a spinal headache is a RED BULL drink and lying down. It was the worst experience of my life and it will make you not want any more children. I loved my OB/GYN, but my anesthesiologists (which it took 3 of them) could have done better so it wouldn't have been such a bad experience!!!!! So whoever reads this, if you are pregnant, DO NOT let them do a spinal block. Tell them you want an epidural or put you to sleep if you have a C-Section. I had a C-Section so an epidural or being put to sleep would have worked, but instead I got stuck full of holes and left with a spinal headache!!!
